Late-Breaking Abstract Submission

Late-Breaking Abstract Submissions Deadline (CLOSED): May 10, 2024, 11:59 pm PT

Late-breaking abstracts submitted after April 20, 2024, 11:59 pm PT will NOT be included in the abstract book.

Late-breaking abstract submissions will NOT be sent for reviews, and will only be accepted as poster presentations.

Abstracts are invited on the topic of new developments in Microphysiological Systems and applications of Microphysiological Systems, which are divided in four tracks.

  • Track 1: MPS for (patho)physiology
  • Track 2: Modeling, fabrication and manufacturing of MPS
  • Track 3: Validation, qualification, meet regulatory requirements
  • Track 4: MPS in toxicology and drug development

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • All abstracts will be evaluated and selected for oral or poster presentation by the MPS Scientific Advisory Committee
  • Abstracts must be in English and no more than 350 words (references included; title, authors excluded)
  • Figures, tables, attachments are not permitted
  • Make sure to select your preferred track/sessions
  • Only one abstract is allowed for one presenting author
  • All presenters must be registered for the conference, if accepted

More details on abstract formatting:

  • Provide title in normal font, not all capitalized
  • Full first and last names of all authors; abbreviate middle names (e.g., Peter R. S. Parker); presenting author should be identified.
  • Provide affiliations including institute/company, town, and country for each author. E-mail address of presenting author should be provided. 
  • Include no more than three references and cite them in the text [1], [2]. Format references as follows: Authors (Year). Publication name Volume, Pages.
