Q: Where will the 3rd MPS World Summit take place?

Q: Can I park at the conference venue?

The parking garage entrance for the Seattle Convention Center, Summit Building is located on Olive Way between 9th and Boren, 1009 Olive Way. The garage hours are 5:30am-12am PT seven days a week. For more information, please reference the Seattle Convention Center’s Parking Garage Information.

Q: What accessibility services are available?

The Convention Center is fully accessible. See their Accessibility Guide for information on parking, building navigation, and more.

If you are in need of assistance with a wheelchair, assistive hearing devices/subtitles, or any other accommodations, please let us know.

Q: What are the closest major airports?

The closest airport is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Transportation from the airport to downtown Seattle is available. For more information, please reference the Seattle Convention Center’s Getting Here | Transportation Toolkit.

Q: Are there any hotels nearby?

There are two hotels near the Convention Center that are hosting room blocks for our MPS World Summit attendees:

Registration

Q: How can I register?

Early-Bird Registration is now open! For more information, please visit our Registration page.

Q: How can I pay for my registration?

Registration can be paid for with a credit card. Registration must be paid for in full at the time of registration. NO invoice payments will be accepted.

Q: I am registering from Singapore and am receiving an error message when trying to pay.

If you are registering from Singapore, or using a PayPal account registered in Singapore, you may receive the error message, “To comply with international regulations, this transaction has been declined.” This is unfortunately due to a policy within PayPal that prohibits PayPal accounts registered in Singapore from sending payments to a non-profit organization registered outside of Singapore. The organizers are actively working on a solution to allow registrants from Singapore to pay for their registration. If you are experiencing this issue, please contact us at info@mpsworldsummit.com and we will keep you updated on the solution.

Q: Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

No. Tickets are non-transferrable.

Q: Can I register on someone’s behalf?

Yes, however only one (1) registration can be purchased per order.

Q: I have a coupon! How do I use it?

In the Buy Tickets page, there is a box marked COUPON CODE. Enter your coupon code into the box and hit Apply and the discount will automatically apply to any applicable tickets.

Q: Can I purchase a single day registration?

Single day registration is not available. Registration is only for the full week of the summit.

Q: What is the refund policy?

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to info@mpsworldsummit.com. All requests for refunds must be submitted by May 1, 2024. These refunds will be processed minus a $50 fee. Refund requests received after May 1, 2024 will not be processed.

Q: Can I get a quote for my registration prior to registering?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide a quote to attendees prior to them registering.

Q: Can I attend if I am not submitting an abstract?

Absolutely!

Q: Is the summit in person attendance only?

Yes. There is NO online attendance.

Q: How do I obtain a certificate of attendance after the summit?

Certificates of attendance will be dispersed through the Oxford Abstracts website to the email that was used for registration.

Q: Will my name and email be shared with anyone?

Your name and email will ONLY be shared with the sponsors of the event if you give us permission to share this information. If you do not give us permission your name and email will remain private.

The MPS World Summit is NOT partnered with any marketing firms with the purpose of distributing the Registrants/Attendees list. If you receive an email offering these services, please disregard and mark as spam. Attendees information will not be sold or provided.

Q: I am a student or post doc registering. What documents are acceptable proof of my status?

For students, the most recent course registration for courses or a letter from a professor is acceptable.

For post docs, a letter from your PI or supervisor is acceptable.

Q: Can my Oxford Abstract registration invoice or receipt be modified with additional details?

Unfortunately we cannot update invoices and receipts that are generated through Oxford Abstracts. We kindly ask that any information that is not included be added by the registrant as needed.


Abstract Submission

Q: How can I submit an abstract?

Late-breaking abstract submissions are open until May 15, 2024. All late-breaking abstracts will be accepted as poster presentations only. Any abstracts submitted after April 20, 2024 will NOT be included in the abstract book.

Q: What if my abstract does not fit into the existing tracks?

If your abstract does not fit into the four tracks, please submit your abstract to Track 5: Incubator ideas: ready to hatch or discard (submit new bold ideas which did not fit in any categories above).

Q: When will decisions for abstract presentation be published?

Decisions specifying oral and poster presentations have been sent to the abstract submitters via Oxford Abstracts.

Q: My abstract was accepted! What are the next steps?

All presenters with accepted abstracts are required to register for the summit.


Travel Awards

Q: How do I apply for a travel award?

Travel award applications are closed.

Q: What is the location criteria for travel awards?

Travel awards should be submitted based on your current country of residence.

Q: What does the travel award cover?

The travel award will be paid in one payment. $300 USD of the travel award will cover the awardee’s registration. The remainder will be for the awardee to use at their discretion, however it is usually used towards travel or hotels.

Q: I was chosen as an awardee. What are the next steps?

You will be contacted with instructions on how to receive payment. Please keep an eye on your emails for an email from the organizers with this information!


Presentations

Q: Where can I find the instructions for presenters?

Please visit our Poster Instructions page.

Q: Where can I print my poster?

The MPS World Summit has partnered with the FedEx office, located inside the Seattle Convention Center, Arch building. Poster presenters receive a discount rate for posters submitted to this site. For any presenters who do not wish to print and travel with your poster, or are unable to print before the conference, please visit their website HERE for more information!

Q: What day is my poster presentation?

Poster presentation schedules are now available on our Poster Instructions page.

Q: Can I change the presenter for my abstract?

Changes of presenter will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. After May 1, any new presenter must be registered already. After May 17, any updates to presenters will not be reflected in the program. If you need to change the presenter of your abstract, please contact us at info@mpsworldsummit.com.

Q: When do I have to be at my poster?

Poster presenters are required to be at their poster for the entire duration of their schedule presentation session.


Satellite & Social Events

Q: What satellite events and meetings are happening before and during the MPS World Summit?

Satellite events will be listed on our Program page, as well as in our Full Program.

Q: What is the Macro Party?

The Macro Party is the social event of the MPS World Summit. Held on Wednesday night of the conference, this party is designed to embody the host city through the food, drinks, and music. The Macro Party offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and experience the host city’s aesthetic.

Q: How do I purchase Macro Party tickets?

Macro Party tickets can be purchased as an add-on to your registration. Tickets can be purchased after you have already registered.

Q: Are tickets required to attend the Macro Party?

Tickets are required to attend. Anyone without a ticket will not be admitted into the Macro Party venue.

Q: How do I sign up for the Educational Workshop?

To learn more about the 2024 Educational Workshop, please visit our Educational Workshop page.

Q: Once the Educational Workshop is full, is there any way to sign up?

Once the Workshop is at capacity, we cannot add more spots. There are often cancellations however, so please continue to check in on the event page (link will be provided once registration for the Workshop is open) to see if there are any available spots.
